The village and the surrounding area have lots of potentialities in the touristic, historical and artistic field. This is what the local stakeholders and our school is determined to do in the next years.

.
The school is registered in Etwinning and some teachers have been using it by joining Etwinning projects with foreigner schools for the last two years. For the moment the school is involved in several Etwinning projects to share ideas, cooperate and raise the students’ interest in communication with the students of other schools.
Most of the students in our school belong to lower middle class families and there is no immigration till now. 90% of our students come from the villages around Peleci, their only source of income coming from working in the farm and agriculture, but usually with little technology.
The school aims to take part in projects and initiatives of all kinds, the teaching staff is open and hardworking and so are the students. Our school will be a partner in this project and the families will host the foreign students. Our task is do all the activities according to the plan and to report them to the coordinating school. The school takes part in several educational projects and competitions every year.We are promoting the values of our cultural heritage, rich folk traditions, the beauty of our county, rising the motivation and interest of our young students to be active as European citizens, for the European dimension. Last summer our students participated in Latvian youth song and dance festival that is organised every five years, for one week. That was the time frame for the main event in Latvian cultural life - the Nationwide Latvian Song and Dance Festival. It involved hundreds of choirs and folk dance groups, entrancing thousands in the audience. The Festival has earned high honour internationally, being included on the UNESCO Oral History and Non-material Cultural Heritage.
Both teachers and students are willing to participate in extracurricular activities, but mainly academic ones. Through this project we would like to increase students’ feeling of responsibility for, and control over their own learning and interest in history, PE, science and foreign languages. We would like to be partners of the project and actively take part in it.
